Viktor Bout, known as ‘The Merchant of Death’, used his multiple companies to smuggle weapons after the fall of the Soviet Union. He was arrested in 2008 during a sting operation where he was caught selling surface-to-air missiles that would be used to kill US Troops. He is now a free man.
